Pre-construction marina planning and design support for the re-development of this iconic marina project in “The Venice of America & Yachting Capital of the World”
The project is a Public Private Partnership between The City of Fort Lauderdale & Suntex Marina Investors and included very challenging re-routing of critical U/G utilities infrastructure
Design of a new 700,000 GPD pump station, demolition of an existing 400,000+ GPD pump station, creating a new and expanded marina basin by excavating a 4.56-acre existing parking lot, dredging 102,000 CY, 900+ linear feet of new steel sheet pile seawall and rip-rap, existing fixed concrete docks demolition and construction of a newly designed 68 slip mega-yacht marina for vessels up to 250’ with all new dock utilities and provisions for in-slip fueling
Two waterfront buildings including a two-story 15,000 square-foot restaurant and a 31,000 square-foot marine services building with a ship store, offices, casual restaurant, Captains & Crew lounge with roof-top gym, swimming pool, a chef’s kitchen, recreational space, and substantial crew amenities
